Lemon Roasted Broccoli With Parmesan
I searched for this recipe after having a delicious side dish at a place in Charlotte, NC called, “Flower Child!” I LIKE broccoli. I do not LOVE broccoli (unfortunately!) and do not eat it enough, but I decided to order it with some salmon and cauliflower risotto! The broccoli was so yummy that I wanted to find a recipe similar so that I could make at home! Broccoli is SO great for you by the way and is packed with nutrients that offer numerous health benefits. Here are the key benefits to consuming more broccoli! Let’s eat more broccoli together!
Digestive Health - Broccoli is high in fiber, which promotes regular bowel movements and improves gut health. It also contains prebiotics that nourish beneficial gut bacteria.
Antioxidant Power - Broccoli is rich in antioxidants, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, and sulforaphane. These antioxidants protect cells from damage caused by free radicals, reducing inflammation and lowering the risk of chronic diseases.
Heart Health: Broccoli contains potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure. It also provides vitamin K, which is essential for blood clotting.Additionally, the antioxidants in broccoli may help reduce cholesterol levels.
Bone Health: Broccoli is a good source of calcium and vitamin K, both essential for strong bones.
Immune Function: Vitamin C in broccoli supports the immune system, helping the body fight off infections.
Cancer Prevention: Studies suggest that the antioxidants and glucosinolates in broccoli may help reduce the risk of certain types of cancer, such as colon, breast, and prostate cancer.
